Does your espresso taste more bitter than it used to?
It's not your beans or your grind. It's the coffee oil building up in your group head and mixing into every shot
Brushing isn't enough. And you know it.
You scrub, you rinse, you backflush… and the shower screen still looks dark. Coffee oil doesn't come off with warm water or dry bristles. It stays, it oxidizes, and it turns every shot you pull bitter
Steam does what a brush can't.
BrewjoeBrush™ connects to your steam wand and pushes pressurized steam straight through the bristles. The heat dissolves the oil and the bristles sweep it away. 30 seconds at the end of the day and your group head is truly clean.

FAQ
How does it work?
How does it work?
It connects to your steam wand with a silicone tube. When you open the steam, it flows through the bristles and dissolves the buildup while you scrub the group head.
Will it fit my machine?
Will it fit my machine?
It works with most home and commercial espresso machines with a steam wand between 10–16 mm in diameter.
Can it damage my machine?
Can it damage my machine?
It's designed not to. The bristles are heat-resistant and won't scratch your shower screen. It's the same steam-and-cloth cleaning baristas do, just with your hand on a handle instead of near the steam. As always, follow your machine manufacturer's care instructions.
How often should I use it?
How often should I use it?
As often as you like. Ideally, one quick pass at the end of every day you use it. If you only make a few coffees, 2–3 times a week is plenty.
Is the hose long enough?
Is the hose long enough?
Yes, it reaches the group head from the steam wand on most home machines. If your wand sits far from the group, swivel it toward the group head before connecting.
Does it smell like plastic?
Does it smell like plastic?
The first use may give off a slight smell, like any new silicone. Run one pass of steam through it and it's gone.
Does it stay in place?
Does it stay in place?
Tighten the hose clamp on your steam wand before opening the steam and it won't move. Depending on your machine, the clamp is recommended but not required.
Is it safe to use?
Is it safe to use?
Steam is hot, so use it with care. The steam comes out through the bristles, against the group head, while your hand stays on the handle, away from the heat. The silicone tube gets hot during and after use: handle it with a cloth and let it cool down before putting it away. Keep it out of reach of children.
Do I need replacement heads?
Do I need replacement heads?
The brush head lasts for months of regular use. When the bristles start to splay, swap it for one from our 3-pack of replacement heads.
